New York City cop John McClane travels to Moscow to find his son Jack. It comes as a shock when he learns that Jack is actually working undercover to protect a Russian government spy, Komarov because McClane thinks his son is a criminal. With their lives on the line, They both must deal with their misunderstanding in order to get Komarov to safety and stop a dangerous crime in the Chernobyl region.
