Indiana’s janitor Richard Goodall has won Season 19 of “America’s Got Talent.” Often referred to as the “singing janitor,” Richard won people over with his moving voice and poignant narrative.
Richard started his trip with a Golden Buzzer from Heidi Klum, which sent him right to the live events. Among his fans, he was a favourite for his performances of classic tunes like “Don’t Stop Believin’” and “Eye of the Tiger.”
Richard had fierce competition in the last round from nine other acts—acrobats, dancers, comedians, etc. His sincere singing won over the votes even with the intense rivalry.
Having been a janitor for more than 20 years, Richard began singing to help him deal with the death of his wife. Many viewers related to his narrative and talent.
Richard, the winner, gets a $1 million award as well as a headline event in Las Vegas. He thanked his fans and intends to keep distributing his songs throughout the globe.
