Andrew Garfield has expressed his dismay with Jacob Elordi replacing him in Guillermo del Toro’s forthcoming Frankenstein film. Conflics in scheduling forced Garfield to leave the project. The part intrigued him, and he was eager to collaborate with Oscar Isaac and Christoph Waltz.
Garfield said, in one interview, Elordi is a fantastic performer. He said he is glad for Elordi but yet depressed about not being able to play the part himself. At least he dodged the long hours in prosthesis, Garfield joked.
Regarding the modification, fans disagree. While some are happy to see what Elordi adds to the part, others are depressed about Garfield leaving. Though specifics are yet under wraps, the film is scheduled for Netflix distribution. Fans of Garfield expect to see him on another fascinating project not too far off.
