Producer of the next film “Modi, Barry Navidi recently discussed Johnny Depp’s comeback into Hollywood. Many people questioned Depp’s likelihood of returning following his legal struggle with Amber Heard. Depp’s latest effort, “Modi,” seems to Navidi to be a significant step toward that.
Depp was invited to direct “Modi,” by Navidi and Al Pacino, another actor in the film. The offer startled but honoured Depp. The film chronicles three quite demanding days in the life of Italian artist Amedeo Modigliani.
Depp enjoyed the script, according to Navidi, and gave the movie his original spin. Navidi responded, “He won the case,” when questioned about Depp’s earlier legal problems. Hollywood boasts some devoted friends for him. He will benefit from this film and open fresh opportunities.
Nearly thirty years ago, Navidi and Depp collaborated on a never-finished film project. Now, seeing Depp back in action with “Modi,” they get thrilled.
The fact that Navidi supports Depp reveals their close relationship. Depp’s skill and appeal will show through, he thinks, despite the obstacles.
