Diddy, the popular hip-hop artist, is imprisoned and he is under constant surveillance to prevent suicide. This directive was issued by the officials at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center.
On September 16, 2024, Diddy got arrested over very severe charges such as sex trafficking as well as racketeering. He has unsuccessfully tried to seek bail. However, attorneys representing him state otherwise saying he never considered killing himself before but they were doing it as a precautionary measure considering his high profile status in prison.
His attorney who spent six hours visiting Diddy assured the world that the man was still strong and preparing for his defense before the law. The lawyer further added that the facility where he is detained has harsh conditions and that they are trying to move him elsewhere.
A series of suicides have happened within the prison gates where Puff Daddy is being incarcerated; hence the worry. As a result, he was put under watch just in case, and he swears he never thought of dying.
