Dolly Parton recently voiced her displeasure at the CMA Awards not honouring Beyoncé’s album “Cowboy Carter.” Although many of the fans were offended, Dolly said it was not personal.
Dolly stated the CMA Awards have to make difficult decisions since there are many excellent country musicians. Beyoncé’s CD pleased her and she claimed it was fantastic. Dolly also claimed Beyoncé understands it well as she grew up listening to country music in Texas and Louisiana.
Dolly thinks Beyoncé wasn’t left out of intent in the CMA Awards. They wanted to respect musicians who have devoted their entire lives to country music. She urged supporters to realise the choice was not meant to cause injury to anyone.
Although Beyoncé’s supporters, sometimes known as the Beyhive, were let down, Dolly hopes they will see the wider picture. Beyoncé should be happy with her job, she believes, and the country music scene embraced her.
Although Dolly’s remarks have spurred many discussions, she is adamant that the CMA Awards selected its winners based on country music talent.
