- Following the aftermath of The Guardians of the Galaxy, the Guardians are hired by the leader of Sovereign race – Ayesha: the Golden High Priestess to protect their extremely valuable sources of energy in the universe, the Anulax Batteries. The celestial being Ego comes to the Guardians’ rescue as their spaceship is under threat by the barrage of attack from Ayesha for stealing their battery. The Star Lord questions his existence and his origin when Ego claims to be his father. A sequence of drama and betrayal continues as the Guardians get acquainted with the notorious Nebula – the estranged sister of Gamora.
Ego invites his son and his ally to visit his planet where they befriend the empathetic Mantis. Ayesha seeking revenge against the Guardians hires Ravager Yondu Udonta to hunt down the Guardians. The heroes fight against their past to overcome the foe and the greatest secret of Ego.
With action-packed performance, clever humor and more character-relationship development, and stellar visual effects, we bet the popcorn’s not lasting too long.
