In his endless interest to aggregate the ideal supply of round and sparkling acorns, the fretful saber-toothed squirrel, Scrat, coincidentally triggers a geologic chain response of stunning magnitude. Subsequently, Manny gets isolated from Ellie and their defiant adolescent girl, Peaches, set loose on an enormous lump of chunk of ice with Diego, Sid, and his fiery grandma, Granny.
