John challenged false claims made by several politicians in his post. He said nobody is eating dogs or cats. All we want is a safe place for us to live and raise our kids.
John, raised in Springfield, Ohio, noted the number of Haitian immigrants the city had welcomed. These new citizens came to Springfield, he explained, because there were jobs there and they planned to work hard and fulfil the American dream.
He also pointed everyone that for the same reasons many of our predecessors immigrated to the United States. “Your German ancestors, your Irish ancestors, your Italian ancestors – they came here hoping for a better life,” he said.
For his passionate statement, John got praise from supporters and followers. Many showed their support and thanked him for combating prejudices.
