Renowned musician Pharrell Williams has a clear message for other celebrities: stop dictating voting decisions for people. In a recent interview, he said he finds it irritating when celebrities endorse politics.
Pharrell thinks that popular celebrities shouldn’t have any effect on governmental decisions. Declaring, “I don’t do politics,” he said he finds it annoying when celebrities try to sway public opinion. He believes that everyone should make their own decisions free from the impact of well-known celebrities.
This aligns with other celebrities supporting political candidates at this time. For instance, Kamala Harris has been shown support by Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish. Pharrell prefers to stay out of politics, though, and concentrate on events that make a difference.
Though he loves his country and community, he stressed that he believed in doing deeds for others rather than only lecturing about it. Pharrell loves to see more persons genuinely assisting rather than only offering counsel.
