Lisa Marie began penning the book in 2022. She chronicled many aspects of her life, including her upbringing at Graceland, her connection with her father, Elvis Presley, and her battles with addiction. Lisa Marie tragically died before she could complete it. Riley resolved to finish the book in line with her mother’s wish.
Riley said listening to her mother’s tapes was both difficult and therapeutic. While working on the novel, she felt almost next to her mother. Riley wants to tell these tales to help people better relate to her mother.
