Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs will stay in jail until his trial. Once more, a judge turned down his bail request. Combs is facing serious allegations, including sex trafficking and racketeering.
He was caught in New York City and has been suspected of crimes going back to 2008. On a $50 million bail package including house arrest and GPS monitoring, his lawyers sought to get him released.
The judge had concerns about Combs’ behaviour, involving substance abuse and anger issues. Suspected to be a drug, a pink powder was discovered in his hotel room during his arrest.
Combs’ legal team claimed that he should not be kept in harsh jail circumstances and mentioned that he had submitted to the authorities willingly.
Despite their arguments, the judge decided to keep Combs in jail. The next hearing is set for October 9. Until then, Combs will remain in the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.
