Snoop Dogg recently talked about how Tupac Shakur changed his parenting. When Snoop was just starting his profession as a father, Tupac advised and helped him a lot back in the 1990s.
Snoop would bring his son Corde to the studio as he worked on his songs. Close to Snoop, Tupac treats Corde as family. He would tell Snoop to take care of his son even if it would just be making sure he ate.
Sometimes Tupac seemed more like a parent to Corde, Snoop recalled, than he did. With Tupac’s advice, Snoop was able to strike a compromise between his music career and his parenthood. Although Tupac passed away in 1996, his influence on Snoop’s parenting stayed very strong.
Snoop kept raising his other children with the values he learned from Tupac. Other parents and coaches also gave support when his kids engaged in sports. This community helped his parenting grow.
Snoop’s story underlines the significance of having good role models and help for the raising of youngsters. Tupac’s influence on Snoop’s life reminds us movingly of the long-lasting power friends may have for one another.
