Thor’s search for the Infinity Stones leads him to a fight against the fire demon Surtur, who thinks his destiny is to bring about Ragnarok, the complete destruction of Asgard. Claiming that he has defected the demon Surtur and stopped Ragnarok, Thor and Loki now face a force much greater and malevolent than Surtur – Hela, the Goddess of Death and the older half-sister of Thor who has been consumed by darkness. The two brothers must now face their own family to save Asgard but are thrown into the other side of the universe.
Thor finds himself imprisoned on the planet Sakaar, and without his hammer Mjolnir, where he must fight against the Gladiators and the Champion of the arena. Thor is reunited with The Hulk who is now the ring champion, where he is forced to fight him. Thor races against time to get back to his homeland – Asgard which is in grave danger from Hela as she plans to claim the throne of Asgard. How will the mighty Thor defeat Hela? Or will he be defeated, again?
