NFL athletes Travis and Jason Kelce had an odd encounter with a Taylor Swift fan’s username in a recent episode of their podcast “New Heights.” Reading fan recommendations, they came to the username “Emma Fell in Love.” Retired Philadelphia Eagles player Jason inquired of his brother Travis, “Is that, like, a lyric or something?” Confused as well, Travis—who is seeing Taylor Swift—said, “I have no idea.”
The pseudonym alludes to Taylor Swift’s song “When Emma Falls in Love” from her 2023 album “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version).” Though Travis had a relationship with Swift, the link passed over their heads.
The fan who turned in the username also advised the Kelce brothers to teach Swifties football rules; many of them began watching football because of Travis and Taylor’s connection. Travis deemed the concept among the best ones they had come across and enjoyed it.
Many Swifties have started listening to the “New Heights” podcast once Travis and Taylor’s relationship was public, therefore increasing its appeal. The brothers had signed a large contract with Wondery, valued over $100 million, and the program has expanded greatly.
The crossover between Swifties and football enthusiasts has given the Kelce brothers fresh success. After landing Podcast of the Year at the iHeartPodcast Awards, they even congratulated Swift’s supporters. At the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards, Taylor Swift herself supported Travis by shouting him out.
