Writer David Handelman, well-known for his work on TV dramas including “One Tree Hill” and “The West Wing,” died at 63.
Beginning his career as a journalist for Rolling Stone and other publications, Handelman wrote Later on, he entered TV writing and helped Aaron Sorkin produce shows such as ” Sports Night, “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip,” and “The Newsroom.”
A rare blood malignancy claimed his life on August 15 at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. His wife Sydney Sidner and their two daughters survive him.
Many people found great influence on Handelman’s work. Fans and associates will remember his stories and personalities. We shall lose his contributions to TV and journalism.
